Meet the team: Sarah
By John / Staff /Sarah is known as the bossy one of the company. If she was a superhero, her special power would be making lists and getting stuff done. Captain tick list, fighting crime one tick at a time. When at home she loves nothing more than cuddling up with her mischievous Bengal cat, Jumna. He’s so naughty that he once decided to wee on the TV and break the screen. She still loves him though…
Things could have been very different for Sarah. Her parents had another idea for a name when she was born. It’s a shame they didn’t go through with it. She was going to be called Crystal… Crystal Bull. Who would have predicted that?
What’s your job?
Account Director
So what do you actually do everyday?
No two days are the same! I could be out and about visiting clients, have a solid day in the office with my headphones on writing proposals, producing schedules, planning new projects, or normally just juggling all of the above! I’m known as Queen Nagger by everyone here (I’m sure it’s a compliment), I love a to do list and ticking things off.
Give us a song that describes you?
Not really a song that describes me but a real studio favourite. Wilkinson, Afterglow.
What keeps you motivated?
Seeing the end product. It’s the most satisfying thing to see something we’ve produced out there working for our clients and them loving it. I also (secretly) like the buzz of working on multiple projects and deadlines.
Tell us your favourites: music, TV shows, films?
Music: Too many to list but I do have a massive crush on Calvin Harris 😉
TV Shows: Obsessed with Homeland, Billions, Designated Survivor and of course Eastenders!
Films: Top Gun and at Christmas, Elf. Every year I watch it while I put the tree up.
What are your most recent discoveries? Any tv-shows, podcasts, blogs or books we should be keeping our eyes on?
I love Abigail Ahern… she’s an interior designer with a shop in London and Heals. She transformed her house from being all white to dark, it’s been my inspiration for the office and my house! It’s all about F&B Downpipe Grey!
You’ve got a time machine, where would you go first?
Back to the year I turned 30 and went to Vegas, take me back!!!
Tell us something you wish clients knew?
Start earlier… give yourself time so we’re not all working through the night to hit a crazy deadline.
Team of choice?
Team Hideout… I don’t do football!
What is one guilty pleasure you enjoy too much to give up?
Hand bag music. Steve, George and I love a sing along to the oldies, much to Si’s annoyance!
Your best impression?
A cat… MEOW!
What’s your earliest creative memory?
Having to draw my house for a school project and getting my dad to help with the perspective. I think I still have it somewhere… it’s pretty good. Watch out design team!
Cats or dogs?
Tough choice… I’ve grown up with dogs but my little fur baby Jumna is just too cute!
What do you wish you had known 5 years ago?
Everything will be OK… everyone always says it, but things happen for a reason.
What are the 3 things you’d take to a desert island and why?
My cat because I couldn’t bear to be without him, my phone (with endless battery) to keep on top of work, as I’m that much of a control freak, and a bottle of wine (or two)!
If you had a tagline, what would it be?
Have you done that yet?
If you could give the people reading one piece of advice, what would it be?
Always bet 11 black!
