The September low-down

The nights are drawing in, we’ve dug our jumpers out and X Factor’s started. It’s definitely time to cuddle up on the sofa with a hot brew and a blanket. As well as being cosy this month, we’ve launched a new restaurant website, taken a trip up north to hang out with Superdrug and had some more nominations!

The Hideout

That Superdrug feeling

We were lucky enough to be invited to the Superdrug Christmas Conference last month in Birmingham with the Body Design team that we branded earlier this year, which is sold exclusively in Superdrug.

During the day was a chance for the Superdrug store management team to chat to all of the brands exhibiting before dancing the night away at the Gala Dinner that Boyzone member and Coronation Street actor Keith Duffy presented! After a tasty three-course meal, Si and Sarah strutted their stuff with the Body Design crew to ABBA and Mel C all while rocking their glow sticks from the goody bags!

It’s safe to say their heads were a little sore the next day… even Si’s!

Nominations for OMB of the Year

It’s nearly time for OMBlive4, an annual meet up of the OneMinuteBriefs community where creativity and drinks flow in equal measure. John was lucky enough to win ‘Ombles Omble Of The Year’ last year and also made it to the semi finals along with Sam in the live tournament. This year as well as the team entering the tournament, John has three nominations for OMB of the year! His adverts for, Darts, Bingo, and Margarine are all in the running. Come the 2nd of November we’ll see if he’s a winner and whether any of Team Hideout can take the tournament crown. Check out all the nominations on the OneMinuteBriefs Facebook page.

Going out for a Scottish

We recently launched a new website for Mac and Wild. They’re known for their proud use of Scottish produce and ingredients as well as over 200 whiskies, gins, craft beers and their own range of Scottish cocktails. We created a website that brings a little of their restaurants style to the web. Big imagery covers the site giving you an idea of the treats that are in store for you.

John even had the chance to go and sample some the Scottish delights including numerous bottles of irn-bru, a few drams of whiskey and their famed award winning burger, the Veni-moo.

Tuck by Truck

Who doesn’t love a snack now and then. How about making that snack taste even better by also helping a charity! Tuck by truck is a work enterprise run by mcch. It offers work experience and paid work opportunities for people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs. It means we can tuck into lots of treats directly in our office at the drop of a coin.

Our workplace tray is always full of tasty snacks to get us through the day. It’s a wonder how we ever survived without one! Get in touch with them to get one for your office!

…and the rest

Si took some time out and went along to The London Apollo to watch The National who recently released their latest album ‘Sleep Well Beast’. They put on an amazing performance and an equally amazing light show to go with the music!

After hearing a countdown from him for the last 100 days, Steve has finally boarded the plane and touched down in the sunshine state where he’ll be taking in waterparks, American football and copious amounts of Budweiser. Expect to see him with a tan when he’s back later this month.
