We’re looking for a junior designer to join our team.
What type of person are we looking for?
Maybe you’re straight out of uni or college, have just started in the industry or you’re looking for a new challenge. It’s important that you have a good understanding of Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign specifically.
We’re always learning from each other no matter the age, level or role. We want you to bring a fresh set of ideas and new creative thinking which ultimately will make us a better agency.
What type of things will you be doing?
We’re a busy studio so there’s always plenty going on. You’ll be thrown in at the deep end; working on multiple big briefs, creating your own concepts, meeting and talking with clients.
You could be doing anything from designing logos and websites to printed materials and campaigns, working alongside our Creative Director, Developers and Project Managers to make sure everything looks good and hits the client brief.
You’ll also be playing a fair amount of table football!
Some recent projects we’ve worked on include…
Name, story and branding for a new restaurant located in the Middle East
A set of brand guidelines created for the largest independent landlord in the UK
Website design for one of the UK’s most premium brands of sparkling wine
Branding, website and photography for a West African restaurant opening in London.
What’s in it for you?
- Competitive salary
- 20 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays on top
- Extra days holiday for your birthday if it falls on a workday
- Visits to talks, shows and exhibitions
- Access to a number of online design resources
- A chance to get new design books every month
- Regular team social events
- Breakfast goodies to get your day started
- 3% monthly pension contribution.
What we’d like to see from you.
A PDF or website portfolio would be great. We want to see everything; college or uni projects, freelance stuff, self initiated projects… the lot! Show us what you can do and be confident talking about it. We want your personality as well as your work to come through.
Got other skills that you think would be useful? Show them off, we want to see what you’re about.
A few things worth noting.
The Hideout is located in a little village called Ulcombe. It’s just behind Leeds Castle in Maidstone, so you’re going to need transport to get here unless you like a long walk or bike ride. No agencies please, we like to do our own thing!
